Formerly of Haverhill — Aristotle “Aris” Paxinos, 92, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., passed away Friday, April 5, 2013, at Holy Cross Hospital in Florida.
He was born on Jan. 1, 1922, son of the late Andrew and Bessie (Janeze) Paxinos.
He attended Haverhill Pubic Schools and graduated from Haverhill High School. He was President and CEO of Osceola Shoe Company in Arkansas. Mr. Paxinos served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed flying and playing golf.
He is survived by his brother Dr. P. Robert Pax of Beachwood, Ohio; sister, Nancy P. Keating of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and nieces and nephews, Stephanie Pax Flanigan, Paul Kalogerou, Byron Kalogerou, Rick Todd Keating (deceased), Kristin Anthea Moeller (Keating), and Andrea Pax Mann.
He was also the brother of the late Helen Kalogerou, who died in 1974, and Hercules Paxinos, who died in 2006.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral Services were held April 10 at the Holy Apostles Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 154 Winter St., Haverhill. Burial followed in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Visitation was held on Wednesday morning at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill.
