Akinson, N.H. — Joseph Donald Dempsey II, 56, of Vero Beach, died due to a motorcycle accident, Thursday, October 11, at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, Ft. Pierce, Fla. He was born February 15, 1956 in Saugus and had lived in Vero Beach for 13 years, coming from Atkinson, N.H.
Mr. Dempsey, a certified contractor, was the owner and operator of Dempsey & Sons Construction, Inc., Vero Beach, since 2003.
Mr. Dempsey is survived by his wife of 12 years, Sue C. Dempsey; three sons, Joseph D. Dempsey III of South Boston, Jarret D. Dempsey of Vero Beach and Joshua D. Dempsey of Stuart, Fla.; daughter, Rebekah E. Dempsey also of Stuart; two sisters, Carol Ann Pass Ball of New Castle, N.H. and Joann Dempsey McGovern of Haverhill; three brothers, Gerald Pass of Manchester, N.H., Michael P. Dempsey of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Sean T. Dempsey of Sterling; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Dempsey was predeceased by his father, Joseph D. Dempsey and mother, Norma Clark Wallace.
ARRANGEMENTS: A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 20 at the home of Joseph’s sister, JoAnn Dempsey McGovern with Father Albert, officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend.
