Haverhill — Charles F. Quimby Jr., 87, of Haverhill, passed away on June 12, 2013, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.
The son of the late C. Frederick and Mary Ellis Quimby, he was born and raised in Walpole, Mass., graduating from Walpole High. He attended Yale University, earning a degree in engineering. During World War II, he served as an officer in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his sons, David S. Quimby and his wife, Susan St. Croix, of Concord, Mass., John B. Quimby and his wife, Carla, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; and a daughter, Diane Shayne of Duxbury, Mass.; 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: His memorial service was held on Saturday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at the First Church of Christ, 10 Church St., Bradford. Arrangements are by H.L.
