Groveland — Lois (Wood) Gilman, 94, former lifelong resident of Groveland, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Penacook Place, Haverhill surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Groveland on October 14, 1917, daughter of the late J. Bertram & Annie B. (Sawyer) Wood. Lois graduated from Groveland High School and attended Bridgewater State University. She was a member of the Groveland Congregational Church and was also a member of L.T.T. Club in Groveland. Lois enjoyed cooking, sewing and hosting family gatherings.
She was the wife of the late David Sidney Gilman who passed away in 2006. Her survivors include a daughter Carol A. Freeman of Bradford, grandchildren Julie Freeman, William Freeman, Jr. and Barbara Freeman, a great grandson Eric Giribaldi, brother Kenneth B. Wood and his wife Joyce of Rochester, NH, as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral Services and visitation were held on Tuesday, July 10th at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill. Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
