Haverhill, Ma — Bruce C. Collins of Haverhill, Mass., died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Merrimack Valley Hospital at age 66.
Born in Haverhill, Mass., son of the late Lt. Col. Smith Wallace Collins (Ret) and Elizabeth (Lawrence) Collins, he graduated from Haverhill High School 1965 and Summa Cum Laude from Newbury College Business School in 1991. He worked at Auto Engineering of Lexington for more than 25 years as a manager and senior technician where he was loved by his many co-workers and customers.
He was a lifetime member of the RNC and the NRA. He was known for his dry sense of humor. He was a voracious reader, enjoyed cooking, automobiles, attending air shows, and following politics.
Bruce is survived by his two sons, Benjamin and his significant other, Brittney Anderson, and Eric and his wife, Melissa; his brother, Gregory Collins and his significant other, Barbara Simoneau; and his sisters, Christine Cawley and her husband, Bruce, and Isabel Flanders and her husband, Jon. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Wallace Whittier Collins.
ARRANGEMENTS: A graveside ceremony will be held in Elmwood Cemetery on April 27 at 11 a.m. Friends and family are welcomed to attend.
