Haverhill, MA — Lynda A. Dondero left this world on June 15.
She was born on July 3,1943, and was the daughter of the late Attorney John Dondero. She was raised in Haverhill, where she attended school and held the office of class vice president in her junior and senior year and graduated from Haverhill High School in 1961.
Lynda attended Boston University School of Nursing, where she was the president of her sorority and the editor of the school newspaper, Brown and Gold.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1965, and then lived in the Boston area where she worked at B.U. Medical Center and Boston City Hospital until her return to Haverhill in 1985. She was then employed by Di An Realty as a licensed sales agent, Abbey Home Health Care as a visiting nurse, and Claddagh Health Care as the RN healthcare supervisor. In 1987, she joined the staff of Penacook Place as a nursing supervisor until illness forced her retirement earlier this year.
She will be remembered by many, as thoughtful and compassionate. She was an inspiration to the many lives, young and old, that she happened to touch throughout her life.
She leaves behind many beloved friends including Jeanne B. Charnigo of Salem, Mass., and her dog, Tyler.
