Irene S. (Rubin) Sher, 83

No. Andover — Irene S. (Rubin) Sher, 83, formerly of No. Andover and Winthrop, Mass., passed away Monday, June 17, at Exeter Hospital, Exeter N.H.

She was born in Boston on July 7, 1929, daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Pasten) Rubin.

Irene was educated in the Boston School System, graduating from Jeremiah Burke in Roxbury, Class of 1947. She was a loving mother to her children and family as well as a dedicated nurse.

She came to North Andover in 1978, worked at various hospitals and healthcare centers. Prior to her retirement she was a 20 year employee of Woodmill Nursing Home in Lawrence.

Irene is survived by her children, Stephen Sher of Hampstead, N.H., Jane Chase and her husband, Russell, of Epping, N.H.; sister, Rona Sklar of Marblehead; two grandchildren, Joseph Sher and Glennis Chase; and several nieces.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 19, at the Mishkan Tefila Memorial Park, West Roxbury, Mass. Arrangements were by the H.L.
