Formerly of Haverhill — Rachel (Carter) Clevesy, 90, formerly of Haverhill, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, at Wingate of Sudbury.
She was born in Haverhill on May 23, 1923, daughter of the late Percy S. and Jennie (Berger) Carter.
Rachel was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1941 and was employed as a floor secretary at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital for over 20 years. She loved reading and enjoyed trips to Cape Cod.
She is survived by her daughters, Dianne L. Neuman of Myrtle Beach, SC and Julie R. and her husband, Bruce Spencer, of Pearl City, Hawaii; four grandchildren, Malia and Jahdiel Spencer, Krista and Bradley Neuman; great-granddaughter, Sienna Neuman; as well as several nieces and nephews. Rachel was also the mother of the late Harold E. “Robin” Clevesy, Jr. and sister of the late Lillian Taillon and Yvonne Weaver.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Saturday, April 12, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Arrangements are by H.L.
