Charleston, SC — Allan L. Mysel, 74, of Charleston, S.C., husband of Carol Kohlreiter Mysel, passed away Friday, May 3, 2013.
Mr. Mysel was born November 10, 1938, in Haverhill, Mass., son of Philip Mysel and Jennie Jacobovitz Mysel. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and his MBA Degree at Rutgers, the State University. Mr. Mysel retired from Merck & Co. as Executive Director of Procurement Reengineering, one month shy of his 33-year anniversary with the company. He was a Board Member of Jewish Healing and Hospice Center of Los Angeles, Board Member of Charleston Academy of Music, and worked as a member of Charleston Justice Ministry. Mr. Mysel was a member of K. K. Beth Elohim.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years; two children, Jon Mysel and Cathy Yamashita; three grandchildren; and one sister, Roberta Speranzo. He was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Mysel.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 6, 2013, in the K.K. Beth Elohim Temple, 90 Hasell Street, S.C., at 10 a.m.
