Haverhill — Michael G. Korizis, 83, widower of Helen (Sampson) Korizis died peacefully at Crestview Center in Langhorne Pa. on October 13, 2012.
He was born in Spetses Greece November 8, 1928, son of the late George and Marina (Papageorgiou) Korizis.
Mike was educated in Spetses Greece and joined the Greek Navy.
He is survived by his son, George M. Korizis and his wife Karen (Dumont) Korizis and their children Michael T. Korizis, Marc Korizis, Georgette Korizis; son James M. Korizis, wife Suzanne (Gemmell) Korizis, and their children Eleni Korizis and Michael J. Korizis; sister-in-law Jennie Heseltine, and many nephews and nieces. He was also the brother of the late Andrianos Korizis, Lazaros Korizis, Anagrios Korizis, Andrew Korizis, and sister Katina (Korizis) Moskovitis.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral on Friday morning, October 16, at 10 from the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill, followed by a funeral service at 11 in Holy Apostles, Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 154-156 Winter St., Haverhill. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
