Haverhill — Athena (Demiris) Mancusi, 93, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on October 11 at Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill.
She was born in Haverhill on January 6, 1919, daughter of the late Miltiades and Katerina (Zarbolias) Demiris.
She is survived by her daughter, Rose Theos; son, John L. Theos and his wife Nancy; daughter Rhonda J. Mancusi-West and her husband Thomas all of Haverhill; sister, Claire Mavrofrides of Atkinson, N.H.; brother-in-law, Myron Woodman of Atkinson, N.H.; six grandchildren, Lisa Mazzola, Stephanie DiBurro, Jennifer Theos, John Theos, Michael DiCristofaro and Nicholas DiCristofaro, ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Aristides Demiris, Frances Woodman and Beatrice Demiris.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, October 17, 11 a.m. at the Holy Apostles Saints Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, Haverhill. Entombment followed at the Linwood Mausoleum in Haverhill. Calling hours were held on Tuesday, October 16 from 5-8 p.m., at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St. Haverhill.
