Haverhill — Angie A. Manganais, 73, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away on Saturday, September 7, at the Hanna Dustin Nursing Center, with her family by her side.
She was born in Haverhill on March 2, 1940, and was the daughter of the late James N. and Katherine P. (Pappas) Manganais.
Angie was educated in the Haverhill Public School System and graduated Haverhill High School, Class of 1958. After graduating high school, she attended the M. Fazio Institute of Beauty Culture, and owned and operated Anne’s Beauty Salon on Winter Street in Haverhill.
She was a member of the Holy Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, Haverhill, Ahepa #39, and Philoptochos Society. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Her survivors include two brothers, Emanuel G. and his wife, Amy J. Manganais of Raymond, N.H., Nicholas J. and his wife, Leyla Manganais of Palos Park, Ill.; and four nephews, Christopher, Thomas, James, and Alexander.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral on Saturday morning, September 14, at 11 a.m., from the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill, followed by a Funeral Service, at noon, at the Holy Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 154 Winter St., Haverhill. Interment will follow in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to The Massachusetts Affiliate of Susan G.
