Haverhill — Theodore "Ted" Winter, 78, died Tuesday May 28, 2013, at The Oxford. He was born in Lowell, October 10, 1934, son of Emmett and Selma (Ristu) Winter. He was a graduate of Lowell High School, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from Lowell Tech. He began his career at Western Electric, then to Bell Labs, and was retired from Lucent Technologies where he was a Mechanical Engineer. Ted was a member of the Victor Emmanual Lodge, Order of the Sons of Italy, and the Methuen Jaycees. He is survived by his wife, Grace (Finocchiaro) Winter; a son, Theodore Winter of Haverhill; two daughters, Sherry Deblois and her friend, Thomas Spada, of Haverhill, and Kimberly Winter and her friend, Christopher Howe, of Sandown, N.H.; three grandchildren, David DeBlois and his fiancee, Felicia Sanscartier, of Atkinson, N.H.; and Edyn and Bryce Winter of W. Newbury. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 29 Barker St., Lawrence, MA. Visiting hours were held Friday, May 31, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Paul C. Rogers Family-Scatamacchia Funeral Home, 334 Main St., Haverhill.
