Newton, NH — Barbara Jean Fournier, 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2014, in home hospice care, after a long illness.
Barbara was a sweet, kind, caring soul. Everything she did for others was out of the joy of doing it. She will be sadly missed by her family and close friends.
Barbara was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and is survived by her four children, Barbara Jean, Cathi-Anne, Kim Michelle, and James Michael. She was also the proud grandmother of Lindsey, Hannah, Lisa, and Frank. Barbara had many interests and hobbies such as sewing, knitting and baking. She was best known by those who loved her as "The Cookie Lady." She made the best chocolate chip cookies ever!!!
Her needs and wants were simple, but her eagerness to please others was grand. She made a wonderful impact on the world around her. She will be greatly missed. We will love you 4-ever.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, April 2, at 10 a.m., in St. Luke The Evangelist Church, Plaistow, N.H. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery, Plaistow. There were no calling hours.
