Haverhill — Ruth E. Marr, 96, of Haverhill, died Thursday, December 5, at the Penacook Place Nursing Home, Haverhill.
A lifelong resident of the city, Mrs. Marr was educated in the Haverhill school system and graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1935.
Mrs. Marr was a member of the Universalist Unitarian Church, Haverhill, for over 75 years, and its Ladies Circle, the Haverhill Arts and Crafts Association, and a former member of the Haverhill Garden Club.
She was the wife of the late Clifton A. Marr who died in 1997 and daughter of the late Mary and Gilbert Crowdis.
Her survivors include two sons, Gerald and his wife, Bonnie Marr, of Plaistow, NH, Donald and his wife, Lucy Marr, of Syracuse, NY; two granddaughters, Kristy and Melissa Marr; and three great-grandchildren, Sydney and Gunnar Peters and Chayce Marr.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral Service and visitation were held on Tuesday morning, December 10, at 11 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will be private at the Hillside Cemetery, Haverhill, at a future date.
