Haverhill — Mary E. (Blanchette) Veltsos, 90, of Haverhill, died December 10, at Stevens Bennett Home, Haverhill.
She was born in Amesbury, October 20, 1923, daughter of the late Oswald and Deloris (Faucher) Blanchette and was educated in Amesbury School system.
She was a longtime resident of Haverhill, working in the local shoe industry prior to retiring from AT&T in 1990. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella in Amesbury, St. James Church and the Haverhill Women’s City Club.
Her survivors include two sons, Michael P. Veltsos of Hampton Beach, NH, and Jeffrey D. Veltsos and his wife, Kathy, of Eliot, ME; a daughter, Donna M. Hatcher of San Jose; a sister, Rena M. Doucet of Amesbury; five grandchildren, Timothy, John, Noah, Melanie, Jared, Travis and Shane as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her Funeral on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 11 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Amesbury. A visitation period will precede the Funeral Service Thursday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
