Marion Latham, 75


Groveland — Marion MacIntosh Latham passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, surrounded by family. Marion was born October 24, 1937 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the daughter of the Reverend Douglas and Beatrice MacIntosh. Marion attended Girls Latin in Boston, and was adept at sports, earning her the title “Queen of Sports.” She enjoyed trips to hear the Boston Symphony and the Boston Opera Company. She was an avid reader, loved gardening, bird-watching, and long walks on Plum Island. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren. Marion is predeceased by her parents and two brothers. She leaves a sister, Kathryn Townsend, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, sons Douglas Latham and wife, Betsy, Bill Latham and wife Belinda, all of Groveland, and daughters Susan Latham and her husband Ben Scherz of Newburyport, and Maria Latham and her husband Paul Rosa of Groveland, as well as 10 grandchildren.

ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held at Groveland Congregational Church at a date to be announced later. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Gould Farm, www.gouldfarm.org.
