Lawrence — Marcia B. (Ahrenstein) Linn, 93, of Lawrence, died Friday evening, November 8, at the Lawrence General Hospital.
She was born in Brooklyn, February 5, 1920, daughter of the late Abraham and Lena (Zarawsky) Ahrenstein.
Educated in the Brooklyn school system, Mrs. Linn came to Lawrence in 1965.
She was employed as a bookkeeper at the former Torissi and Munroe Oil Co., Methuen, and also in the same capacity for the Jewish Community Center, Lawrence.
A member of Hadassah, Mrs. Linn frequently supported the United Jewish Appeal, loved to entertain her family and friends and enjoyed organizing a Mahjong group.
She was the wife of the late Irving H. Linn who died in 1999 and mother of the late Joel Linn who died in 2011.
Her survivors include two sons, Mark Linn of Lawrence, Donald and his wife Janice Linn of Methuen, a daughter-in-law, Giselle Linn of Hampden, ME, a former daughter-in-law, Marianne Swift of Fairport, NY, and six grandchildren.
