Last week's picture of was of a Memorial Day parade, with Company 2 of the Haverhill Fire Department coming down Main Street and turning west into Merrimack Street at what is now White's Corner. Until 1861 it was Elm Corner, the name given by Edward Frothingham, a druggist on one corner. The buildings were built in 1821 and were demolished under the federal Urban Renewal program.
Correct answers came from Gerry Danforth, Judine Raymond, who pointed out the Silver Star 10 cent board in the background, and Lloyd Smith.
