Last week's photo resulted in the largest response in recent memory. Several readers recognized popular Haverhill math teacher and runner Tony Sapienza.

They included former student Milton Taylor; Marcelle Green; Kathy Daly, who correctly noted that Sapienza was in his home's basement with a small number of his running trophies; Haverhill chiropractor Dr. Sam Amari, who calls Sapienza "one of Haverhill's greatest (if not the greatest) track stars"; Leslie (Byra) Salach, who, like Dr. Amari, was a student of Sapienza's for two years, in her case in 1965 and 1966; "proud granddaughter" Jenn Donais, who also knew that the photo was taken in her grandfather's basement at 100 S. Park St.; and Toni Donais, Sapienza's daughter, who wrote: "My heart skipped a beat when I saw this week's 'Thanks for the Memories' picture! It sure did bring back memories! It is a picture of my Dad — Tony Sapienza! The picture was taken in the basement of our family home! You made my day!"

If you have a photo that is sure to bring back memories, please get it to us by any of the means listed above.
