Thank you, Haverhill
To the editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has followed my campaign and supported me throughout my efforts for a seat on our City Council.
I was blessed with the help and support of my family, friends and volunteers.
To those of you who sacrificed your weekends to help me distribute literature and get the word out on my candidacy, I am eternally grateful.
Additionally, I want to congratulate my fellow council candidates on running positive campaigns and allowing the voters to have a choice.
All were qualified candidates and I believe our city benefits from having so many willing to serve. It is a testament to the passion we all have for Haverhill and to continue to improve our quality of life here. Win or lose, you chose to run and gave it your best and it was an honor standing beside many of you throughout this process.
For those who stood with me waving to supporters, thank you for your generous insight and advice, expanding my knowledge and allowing me to be better.
Over the past few months, I have had the opportunity to meet voters face-to-face, which has been both a privilege and a pleasure. Thank you for taking the time to discuss the issues with me, inform me of your concerns and offer suggestions to help improve the quality of life in our great city.
I will continue to be dedicated, sincere and honest throughout my appointment as a city councilor. I will put forth your best interests and continue to be engaged and informed. I truly understand the privilege and responsibility bestowed on me and thank you for the honor and pleasure of serving you.

Thanks for supporting Shoe-la-bration
To the editor,
The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and the Soles of Haverhill Shoe-labration" Committee would like to extend a sincere thank you for the public's gala event attendance and the immense show of support we received during our Soles of Haverhill "Shoe-labration" public art celebration and fundraising event.
The event was exceptionally great fun, with fabulous Tennesee auctioneer Tim Milks, delicious food, and a wonderful collection of silent auction items. Together with community support we raised more than $54,000, which will go to supporting the art, education, and cultural programs of the Friends of the Haverhill Public Library, Winnekenni Foundation, Girls Inc., Animal Rescue League of the Merrimack Valley, Discovery Club, Access Arts Club, Emmaus House, Esperanza Academy, the Sacred Hearts Endowment Fund, Haverhill Fire Fighting Museum, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Haverhill, and the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce Community, Arts, and Education Foundation.
A special thanks goes out to all of our generous sponsors Stuart Weitzman, Nordstrom, Dr. Alan Gonick, Trinity EMS, Pentucket Bank, Haverhill Teachers Municipal Credit Union, Haverhill Fire Department Credit Union, Merrimack Valley Federal Credit Union, Haverhill Foundation for Excellence in Education, Trinity Episcopal Church, after school Access Arts Club, Team Haverhill, Girls Inc., and Lowell Five Bank.
Special recognition to an anonymous community foundation and the Haverhill Cultural Council for their strong support and seed money that helped get this project off and running.
A warm and gracious thank you to our event sponsors, Haverhill Bank and Hamel Mill Lofts, and to the many local businesses, groups, and individuals who donated items and services towards the silent auction. We sincerely appreciate your generosity.
Thank you Soles of Haverhill "Shoe-labration" artists Elizabeth Persing, Rob Sardella, Jeff Grassie, Emily Boulger, Mimi Johnson, Alan Pearsall, Nordstrom Design Team, the Stuart Weitzman Family, Maria Fontaine, Elissa Dawson, Sharon Welch, and Susan Blim whose artistic talents elevated our entire community.
This event could not have been a success without the efforts of our tireless volunteers and hardworking event organizers who helped keep things running smoothly. Thank you!
We would like to extend a very personal thank you to the people of Haverhill and surrounding communities for embracing this community art celebration and sharing your personal thoughts, ideas, and shoe history. Your heart felt expressions and involvement demonstrated how art, culture, and history are essential ingrediants in the quality of people's lives and how the Soles of Haverhill "Shoe-labration" acted as a symbol of Haverhill's community pride and remarkable history.
