In fact, we think he's done a great job for the city, especially since he was elevated to the chairmanship of the House Ways and Means Committee. You can be sure Haverhill's concerns are heard at the highest levels of state government. -

He served 20 years as president of Northern Essex Community College, created a new campus in a neighboring city, has two buildings named in his honor and remains a consummate educator.
