Cardinals win Little League title

In the best of three final series for the Haverhill Little League Championship, the Cardinals defeated the Spinners, two games to none.

.In Game 1, the pitching of Corey Hawkins led the Cardinals to a 4-2 victory. A two-run homer by Sean Wrenn in the bottom of the fifth inning provided the Cardinals with the runs needed for the win. Josh Comeau pitched well for the Spinners.

.The Cardinals won the final game, 4-0, as Connor Simpson pitched six shutout innings for the champions..

The Cardinals chipped away for four runs against Spinners starter Thomas Francis, who also pitched five strong innings in defeat.

.The Cardinals finished the season undefeated, with a record of 16-0-2.
