---- — They’re learning to play the game the right way.
Boys in grades four to eight are learning to play lacrosse in a Recreation Department youth lacrosse clinic program at Golden Hill Elementary School.
It is a recreational league with the emphasis on playing the sport and fundamentals.
The boys practice on Wednesday nights. They will be attending the clinics until April, then will play games in the Mass. Bay Youth Lacrosse outdoor league. Games will be at Haverhill High, and also out of town.
Some of the kids are returning from last year, while others are new to the sport. The boys are coached by John Becker and Mark Toulouse.
