The Haverhill Wellness Committee will present “A Night with Chris Herren” on March 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Haverhill High School auditorium, 137 Monument St.
The event is free and open to the public, but tickets must be picked up in advance. Tickets are available in the high school’s main office between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. starting on March 7.
Herren, a former NBA star, is the author of “Basketball Junkie,” a memoir, and founder of Hoop Dreams. He travels the country sharing stories from his life of struggling with addiction and the dangers of substance abuse. Students and parents are encouraged to attend and hear his incredible story.
Comedy Night on tap
Join us for a night of laughs as the sixth annual Haverhill High School Comedy Night is held March 7 at DiBurro’s function hall.
Four top professional comedians will perform and there is a big list of raffle, silent and live auction items. All proceeds will benefit the Haverhill High Athletic Program. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at the high school.

Spring preseason meeting scheduled
A spring sports preseason meeting will be held on March 10 at 6 p.m. in the Haverhill High School auditorium.
All students interested in playing a spring sport should attend, along with at least one parent or guardian. Information regarding starting dates, participation requirements, rules and regulations and much more will be covered at the meeting.
Spring sports registration forms/fees due
Spring sports registration forms and fees are due by March 7.
There is a new online registration system available. Please visit www.hillies.org and click on “Athletics.” Student athletes who participated in a fall or winter sport do not need to fill out another registration form but must submit the appropriate user fee and updated physical if needed.
