The annual Haverhill city tennis tournament is less than two weeks away. Play will begin on Saturday, June 16, with men's and women's singles matches. Men's and women's doubles will start on June 23.
The Haverhill tournament, played at Winnekenni Park, is one of the oldest city championships in the state of Massachusetts, dating back to the 1930s. Past champions have included players who have either played collegiate tennis or have been ranked players in New England, including Dick Canepa and John Tracy. Another strong field is expected this year.
To register, contact tournament director Peter Lynch at 978-373-3083 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Deadlines to register are June 14 for singles and June 21 for doubles. Entry fee is $15 per singles player and $30 for each doubles team.
