Twin River Casino Ocean State Classic
The teams from Gym-Ken Gymnastics attended the Ocean State International gymnastic meet at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, RI. The girls have competed out of state for the past 4 weekends traveling to MA, CT, RI and VT.
The Level 4 team from Haverhill earned the third place team trophy. Cassandra King scored 9.625 on vault for first and 34.825 AA.
The team is coached by Amberlynn Gifford of Manchester, Jen Corsetto of Derry and Ruth Licata of Windham. Gym-Ken Gymnastics is at 184 Rockingham Road in Windham.
Hockey tryouts
Greater Haverhill Pentucket Youth Hockey will be conducting tryouts for the 2012-2013 season on March 29 for players with birth years 1995-2006. Pre-registration is required. Baseball League seeks nominations
The Riverside-Bradford Baseball League is accepting nominations for membership to its Board of Directors for the 2012 season. All directors, officers and members shall bear in mind that the attainment of athletic skill or the winning of games is secondary, and that the molding of future citizens is of prime importance. The league teaches good sportsmanship and the fundamentals of hitting and fielding while building a positive self-image in a healthy competitive environment.
