The Haverhill YMCA celebrated the life of David Curley by hosting the third annual David Curley Memorial 5K Road Race last Friday night.
Many children joined in and ran the scenic stretch through rural neighborhoods of Haverhill.
Runners of all experience levels were welcome to participate. The course winds through Haverhill and past scenic Round Pond.
Curley started running in his 40s to get into better shape and it quickly became his passion.
His dream was to have a diverse community of runners and walkers who gathered to challenge themselves, support each other and have fun. The race has been a huge success in the past two years and has meant a lot to Curley’s family. and friends.
