Boys and Girls Club game statistics

JV Floor Hockey League, Week 10

Fourth-place team Starr Painting finished the season with a victory over second-place team Don Wilson. Daniel Smith demonstrated great puck control, scoring five goals for Don Wilson, but it still wasn’t enough for the win. Joe Santoro scored four goals and Alex Bray scored two goals for Starr Painting. Don Wilson finished the season with a 5-5 record, and Starr Painting finished with a 2-8 record.

First-place team AZ Landscaping took the win over third-place team Sparky’s Wings and Things. Corey Hollins and Sam Powell showed great teamwork and scored two goals each for AZ Landscaping. Sparky’s Wings and Things finished the season with a 5-5 record and AZ Landscaping finished with an 8-2 record.

Major League Basketball Semifinals

High Street Market took the victory over Early Contractors and made its way to the finals. Navin Cruz carried the team and scored 42 points for High Street Market. Eduardo Gonzalez scored 21 points with help from his teammates in getting the ball to the paint, but it wasn’t enough to move on to the finals. The final score was 57-55. High Street Market will play in the championship game March 14 at 7:30 p.m.

JDR’s Auto/Welding & Towing made its way to the finals WITH a big win over Destiny’s Spanish Market. Stephon Allen scored 45 points and Sylus Kitchens scored 25 points for Destiny’s Spanish Market, but it still wasn’t enough to take the victory. Avery Cerow demonstrated great offense and scored 37 points for JDR’s Auto/Welding & Towing. The final score was 84-72. JDR’s Auto/Welding & Towing will play in the championship game against High Street Market March 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Minor League Floor Hockey Playoffs

Rice & Brouillard Electric took out Javier’s Market in the first round of the playoffs and moved on to the semi-final round against Fantini Bakery. Tyler Rice and Ryan Wentworth scored two points each in the first period, and pretty much secured the victory from the beginning. Javier’s Market maintained a positive attitude and walked away with smiles. Rice & Brouillard will go up against second-place team Fantini Bakery March 15 at 7 p.m.
