---- — It was a chance to show off their skills, but more importantly, to see what two local youth organizations have to offer.
A three-on-three basketball tournament hosted by the YMCA and Haverhill High School’s Violence Intervention Program offered teenagers a chance for some fun — and to give their futures some serious thought.
The event drew kids who often play inner-city neighborhood basketball. The YMCA and VIP program also used it to offer to teens an incentive to become involved in the Y and the VIP, which organizes young people against violence.
