Cedardale Health and Fitness is the United States Tennis Association's New England Club of the Year for 2009.
The club was selected for creating a positive impact in the local and regional tennis community during the past year.
It will be honored at USTA New England's annual award ceremony next month in Marlboro.
USTA New England spokesman Thomas Flanagan said a USTA awards committee was impressed the number of adults who play on teams and leagues at Cedardale.
Here is an excerpt from the nomination:
"Cedardale has consistently supported leagues, tournaments and junior team tennis through the years.
"They have been particularly supportive of the league programs, fielding more adult teams than any other club in Eastern Massachusetts.
"In 2009 they had 17 adult teams, 10 Senior and Super Senior teams and 9 Mixed and Senior Mixed Teams for a total of 36 teams with a total of more than 400 participants."
