Local girls experienced the ultimate tea party at Winnekenni Castle on Sunday, June 22, when the castle hosted a Dolly and Me Princess Tea.
Thirty-five little ladies dressed in their frilliest, finest frocks, brought their favorite dolls as well as the women in their lives for an afternoon of finger food and fancy tea cups. There were even two dads who attended the tea, a first in the five years the castle has been hosting the event.

Relay for Life: Walking through darkness into the light

To some, 21 hours of circling a track seems more like punishment than anything else.
But to participants in Haverhill's 13th Annual Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society, the event was a joy.

Haverhill High Class of 2008: Last time together

Senior year of high school is filled with a lot of finality. The last first day of school. The last winter break.
As the school year flies by, the "lasts' become more frequent. The last final exam. The last day of high school. In the last weeks of May and the first week of June, it seems that every day is the last day for something. It's a flurry of parties, meetings and traditions that includes the memorable Senior Prom.

The rain washed out Haverhill's first attempt at Laurie Chase KidsFest on May 4, but two weeks later the sun was shining and the event went on without a hitch.
It was a celebration of childhood, fun and Haverhill's downtown district as an estimated 10,000 people filled the Merrimack Street-Washington Square area throughout the day.

Spring cleaning kicked up a notch

One of the basic environment tips we learned as children was not to discard litter in a manner that pollutes our one and only planet.
But sometimes people falter, so areas of the city begin to collect clutter and trash.
