LAWRENCE — Photos of the 13 fallen military personnel killed in Kabul, Afghanistan, lined the track Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium as families gathered for the city’s first Meet Our Heroes Family Fun Day took part in a 13-lap walk/run to pay tribute to those lives lost only a month ago.

HAVERHILL — The state’s Department of Children and Families investigated a complaint about a Hunking School student being sexually harassed after a School Committee member reported the incident, saying school officials refused to act.

HAVERHILL — All students in Haverhill's public schools will begin their new school year wearing masks in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19, however, the district will reevaluate its position near the end of September. 

HAVERHILL — Northern Essex Community College announced that at least 25% of classes will be taught on campus this fall as it cautiously eases restrictions put in place last year to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Every year, members of the Student Council at the Hunking School in Bradford hold a food drive to help restock the food pantry at Sacred Hearts Church. This year they collected 775 items of non-perishable foods in time for distribution to families for Thanksgiving.
