HAVERHILL — The Memory Laners, a longtime favorite, are back to sing for the Women’s City Club of Haverhill at its May 17 meeting.

The Memory Laners have sung together for years, where they do their best to capture their inner “Blues Brothers” and take listeners on a magical musical tour of pop tunes from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

The club meets monthly at Advent Christian Church, 160 Carleton St. Meetings begins at 1 p.m. and as always, parking is in front of the church. Meetings are in the lower level and the afternoon ends at 3 p.m.

President Phyllis Farfaras will conduct a brief business meeting followed by a light refreshments, coffee and tea. Mrs. Farfaras was just re-elected president of the club at its annual meeting in April.

The club year will continue until June, which is a change from previous years. As the season comes to a close, members can look forward to a presentation on gardens and flowers as the season comes to a close in June.

The club, founded in 1917, is open to all women in the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire.
