Haverhill's Athletic Director Garin Veris announced his resignation Tuesday morning, ending his 15-month tenure as the head of Haverhill athletics, to "organize charitable events" near his hometown of Chillicothe, Ohio in the memory of his father, who passed away at a young age, but had a profound impact on Veris athletically and academically.

Veris gave his two weeks' notice to Haverhill Superintendent James Scully at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
