Last Sunday morning, teams from Haverhill and Central Catholic played the Merrimack Valley's first-ever baseball game on artificial turf inside the newly renovated Haverhill Stadium. The field is in perfect condition, and the brown turf infield looks wonderful and plays perfectly. The only dirt in the whole complex is the pitcher's mound. The sentiment was favorable from everyone in attendance.
We noticed while out driving around on Sunday that there seemed to be quite a few signs advertising snowplowing. Is this a sign that winter isn't too far off?
