Jane Harris-Fale, executive director of Opportunity Works, was recently selected from a large pool of prospective applicants to join Inner Circle of Northern New England.

Committee members of the Inner Circle conducted a rigorous application and interview process narrowing the pool of applicants to three finalists and ultimately choosing Harris-Fale as the winner of the scholarship effective March 2010.

Inner Circle is comprised of eight to 10 select, medium-sized private business executives who meet monthly to discuss confidentially a variety of topics related to their business and personal fulfillment. This group approach has proven to be successful because it focuses on accountability and outcomes, empowering members to overcome obstacles and capitalize on opportunities. It helps its members crystallize their visions, get real life solutions and make bold, confident decisions.

Opportunity Works is a 36-year-old private, non-profit headquartered in Newburyport, with a satellite facility in Haverhill, which provides exemplary and innovative employment, day habilitation, community, and recreational services for adults with developmental disabilities. Harris-Fale has been executive director at the agency since 2001.

Harris-Fale was chosen because of her proven success and dedication to the clients and mission of Opportunity Works.

According to Dr. Donald N. Sweet, owner of Inner Circle of Northern New England located in Portsmouth, N.H., "the members are pleased to have someone of Jane Harris-Fale's background". In addition, "she brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience to the insights she has for the other CEOs in the group".
