The staff at Pentucket Bank became teachers on Wednesday, Aug. 11, when three groups of children from the Haverhill YWCA enjoyed tours of the bank.

The children, ranging in age from 5 to 13 years, visited the Merrimack Street branch of Pentucket Bank and were taken on a tour of the bank, which included representatives from various departments teaching the children about the bank and the importance of saving money.

Pentucket Bank was established in 1891.

It recently was named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts in the second annual Boston Globe employee-based survey. The Top Places to Work recognizes the most progressive companies in the state based on employee opinions about company leadership, compensation, career development, family-friendly flexibility, values and ethics.

Pentucket Bank offers five full-service community banking offices; three in Haverhill and one each in Hampstead, N.H., and Salem, N.H.
