The former Minichiello Insurance Company building on South Main Street, several doors south of Sacred Hearts Church, is being converted into a single-family home, according to construction workers on the site.
It is a historic building, like many in the Bradford Common area. The old Kimball Tavern, the place where locals launched a plan more than two centuries ago to found the old Bradford College, is across the street.
They're back — and so is the traffic
Ever since students returned to school full time the traffic on South Main Street near the Hunking School has been backing up at the start of the school day and when school lets out, just as it was doing prior to the start of the pandemic.
Is it a sign that things are returning to normal?
Do as I say, not as I do?
One of the people who recently spoke out against the conversion of the former Grondin/Carnevale funeral home at 52 Salem St. in Bradford into three condominium units is herself a resident of a formerly single-family home that was converted into three units several years ago.
Tossing his hat into the ring
Haverhill resident Jack Finn announced on social media that he's running for City Council.
On his campaign website he notes that he will fight for "Everything that you support and like" and that he will fight against "Everything you don't support and dislike."
He refers to himself as a man of faith and a "well known local hero." He noted on his Facebook page that he is running for integrity, community, patriotism and honor.
