What came first
Look for the Board of Health to promulgate separate regulations for the boarding of chickens, similar to what it did over the last several years for horses and pigs.
Septic to stay
Evidently, Stewart’s septic services is no longer considering a move to the Hilldale Business Park area due to the cost of developing the site. Looks like South Kimball Street will continue to be home for Stewart’s.
Good job Steve
If you see Steve Gigliotti around town, let him know how much he and his crew of plumbers and pipefitters are appreciated for their efforts to keep the heating systems and restrooms functioning throughout Haverhill’s many school buildings.
Where to book a function
With DiBurro’s Function Hall poised to close at some point after the new year, the search is on for another facility to host events. There’s also Groveland Fairways.

Speaking of the Elks lodge
Haverhill Lodge 165 fraternal order of the Elks recently reopened their upstairs lounge after an 18-month hiatus. Management spruced up the place and are asking members to stop in for a visit and bring friends.
What’s in a name
Mike Giorato is the last name of Mike from Mike’s Sunoco on Water Street, which was recently sold to another operator.
Falling off his chair

One proponent mentioned that visitors could park in the Market Basket plaza, causing the Lamplighter to nearly fall off his chair.
