The latest floor hockey games at the Boys & Girls Club featured some great individual performances, with one player scoring 10 goals.
The basketball games included close matches, with one overtime thriller.

MAJOR LEAGUE FLOOR HOCKEY, WEEK 6
As Maria’s Restaurant was looking to get back on track, Servpro was looking to take them out.
Brody Winchell of Servpro started the scoring by netting 4 goals in the first two periods. Malachi Kitchens and Julian White of Maria’s Restaurant tried to keep their team in it by scoring 2 goals each, but it wasn't enough as Keurin Pimentel of Servpro ended up with 3 goals to close out the game for an 8-4 victory.
This was the game of the night.
Prime Time Sports looked like it had this one in the bag when it had a 6-3 lead after the second period, with Chris Daigle scoring 4 goals for Prime Time.
But it wasn't enough to put the undefeated Dawns Here away as they came alive in the last period with Cam Leblanc, Cayden Parsons and Peter Grillo scoring 2 goals each and goalie Austin Briscoe making several great saves. Dawns Here won, 9-7.
The reigning MVP Andrew Duchemin of Don Wilson made sure he put this one away early by scoring 10 goals.
Dempsey Insurance's Thomas Bergeron scored 4 goals, but the effort fell short. Don Wilson overwhelmed Dempsey, 14-5.
MINOR LEAGUE FLOOR HOCKEY
TJS Metals defense held Fantini Bakery scoreless while scoring 7 goals, 3 of them by Xavier Raycraft.
TJS Metals easily won, 7-0.
Choice Fitness battled Don Wilson in a close match.
With the teams tied for the majority of the game, one team had to get the upper hand and Choice Fitness had the right player to do it, with Ryan Carlson scoring a game-high 4 goals and the game-winning goal in the 5-3 victory over Don Wilson.
MAJOR LEAGUE BASKETBALL
This was a close, aggressive game with Early Contractors and Upscale Cutz going at it on defense and offense.
Jadiel Gomez of Upscale Cutz had 17 points and four blocks, while teammate Jaiden Cruz had a team-high 18 points with four three-pointers. But it wasn’t enough as Early Contractors was on the hunt for their first win, with Lexi Cortez scoring 15 points. Early Contractors took the 58-51 victory.
Choice Fitness vs. Humble Truth was a close game.
Humble Truth gained the edge toward the end of the game, with Jeremiah Lugo scoring a team-high 24 points and teammates Adrian Valentin and Jeremiah Correa scoring 13 points each to earn Humble Truth a narrow 65-63 win over Choice Fitness.
Krispy Clean Kicks vs. T-Stop was a blowout due to Krispy Clean’s star players not being on the court while T-Stop was on a scoring frenzy with four players scoring in the double digits.
T-Stop glided to a 73-18 win.
MINOR LEAGUE BASKETBALL
Rice & Broulliard Electric faced Harold Maya Construction in a close game.
With both teams scoring back and forth, Rice & Broulliard, which was winless, gained the edge with help from Jayden Eusebio, who scored 16 points to lead his team to its first victory of the season, 36-33
Early Contractors vs. Fantini Bakery was an overtime thriller.
With the teams well matched, it came down to the wire with Fantini up by three points with four seconds left. But it wasn't over because a screen was set for Alejandro Iraheta (20 points) of Early Contractors and he hit a long shot, triggering an overtime battle. Fantini tried its best with Nathan Mafika scoring 20 points, but it wasn’t enough as Early Contractors' Ivan Ortiz (12 points) sealed the game with two free throws in overtime to bring a 47-44 victory.
This was a battle for first place with undefeated Shoe City battling the second-place team, Rook’s Barbershop.
With the teams going neck and neck in a high-intensity clash, Rook’s Barbershop put up a great fight, but it wasn’t enough as the undefeated Shoe City team came away with a 44-37 victory.
