Despite the pandemic, many school sports and youth leagues are reopening for practices and games.
For girls looking to hone their softball skills, this was the place to go.
Haverhill High School recently hosted a five-day softball clinic for girls ages 5 to 14 on the school's new multi-sports field.
The annual clinic was run by the Haverhill Recreation Department. It was led by Haverhill High coaches and graduates who played softball in high school.
The clinic is normally held in July, but due to the pandemic it was postponed to late August.
About 55 girls participated in the clinic, where they practiced skills such as batting, fielding, running and strategies of the game.
