The girls volleyball team wrapped up the best regular season in program history last week.
With a 3-0 win over Somerville, the Hillies finished 17-2 and also captured their first MVC title since 2014. They are the No. 2 seed in the upcoming MIAA Division 1 North playoffs. On Monday at 6 p.m., the Hillies will host the winner of the Reading/Methuen match. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
Golfers share MVC title with Central
The golf team took a share of the MVC Championship Tournament last Thursday at Vesper Country Club.
Three players combined to post a score of 243 and share the 2019 title with Central Catholic. The Hillies qualified for and competed in the MIAA Division 1 North Regional tournament at Renaissance Golf Club, where they placed ninth.
Golf team receives sportsmanship award
The Hillie golfers received some well-deserved statewide recognition this week.
The golf team was named the recipient of the 2019 MIAA Division 1 Golf Sportsmanship Award. The team was honored at the MIAA Division 1 State Tournament in Boylston on Monday.
Unified Basketball games underway
The Unified Basketball season is in full swing with more than 30 participants in the program.
The team will close out the regular season against Lawrence.
Cheerleading squad takes first place at invitational
The cheerleading squad took first place at the Billerica Memorial High School Fall Invitational on Saturday.
The Hillies posted a score of 86.5, improving on their previous performance. The team will now prepare for the MVC Championships to be held on Nov. 10.
Boys soccer team qualifies for playoffs
The boys soccer team qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2015.
The Hillies also posted their highest win total since 2010 as they were 8-7-1 heading into the final match of the year this week.
Girls soccer team qualifies for post-season play
The girls soccer team is also heading to the playoffs.
The Hillies finished with a record of 9-7-1. The soccer tournament pairings will be announced Thursday.
Crew teams make strong showing
Both Hillie crew teams competed recently in the George Dirth Memorial New Hampshire Championship Regatta in Pembroke, New Hampshire.
In one of the best performances since the program’s inception, the boy’s novice 8 boat took the silver medal. Both teams wrapped up the fall season in difficult conditions at the MPSRA State Championship meet on Sunday in Lowell.
Cross country teams prepare for invitational
The cross country teams competed in the MVC Championship Meet at Shedd Park in Lowell over the weekend.
The girls team placed fifth overall, while the boys came in seventh. Next up for both teams will be the MSTCA Invitational at the Wrentham Development Center on Saturday.
Girls swim and dive team to compete Sunday
The girls swim and dive team will compete in the MVC Championship Meet on Sunday.
The meet will be held at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, beginning at 10 a.m.
Varsity football team faces Malden Friday
The football team will travel to Malden for a game Friday night.
Kickoff slated for 6 p.m.
