The gymnastics team had a record-breaking performance when it took on Billerica/Chelmsford last week.

The Hillies posted a school record score of 138.75. Maren Eramo set the school individual record for a meet posting an all-around score of 37.25.


Wrestling team excels at meet

The wrestling team returned to form over the weekend at the Timberlane Tournament.

The Hillies had a whopping five individual champions at the event. Jake Nicolosi led the way with the 145-pound title and was named the tournament's outstanding wrestler. Other winners for Haverhill included Ben Davoli, Edgar Feliciano, Steven Wise and Jay Levy.


Girls hockey team to host Billerica

The Haverhill-Pentucket-North Andover girls hockey team is ranked No. 4 in the state.

With a win over Central Catholic on Saturday, the Hillies improved to 11-0-2. The squad outscored its opponents 23-2 in the four previous games. The team will host Billerica on Saturday at 4 p.m.



Swim and dive meet Thursday

Haverhill High School will host the 2020 MVC Boys Swim & Dive Championship on Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Charles C. White Pool.

Central Catholic, Andover, North Andover, Lowell and Chelmsford will compete in the event. Diving starts at 1:30 p.m., followed by the swim meet at 4:15 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students.


Basketball teams pick up more wins

Both the boys and girls basketball teams picked up non-conference wins last week.

The Hillie boys downed Lowell Catholic, while the Hillie girls defeated Everett.

Both teams have now won three of their last four games. The girls will be home to host Lawrence on Friday night. The boys will look to avenge an earlier season loss to Billerica on Friday night on the road.


Indoor track teams prepare for Feb. 7 meet

The indoor track teams participated in the MSTCA Invitational at the Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday.

Finleigh Simonds and Hayden Makarow led the way with fifth-place finishes in the 2-mile and 600-meter runs respectively. The Hillies will now prepare for the MVC Championship meet, which will be Feb. 7.


Hockey team skates to two ties

The boys hockey team skated to a 5-5 tie with Dracut on Jan. 15 and a 4-4 tie with Acton-Boxboro on Jan. 22.

The Hillies return home on Feb. 5 for a 7 p.m. game against North Andover.
