Simard wins state title in 1-meter dive

Cailey Simard won the 2019 MIAA Division 1 State Title in the 1-meter dive at the MIT pool on Sunday.

The sophomore posted an outstanding score of 450, more than 60 points higher than the nearest competitor, and beat out 23 of the top divers in the state.

 

Cheer team preps for state championship

The cheer team won the 2019 Merrimack Valley Conference Championship.

The Hillies took the co-ed division at the championship competition held at Central Catholic on Nov. 10. The squad advanced to the MSSAA Regionals at North Andover on Nov. 17, where the Hillies finished third.

The team advances to the state championship on Sunday at Worcester State.

 

Simonds performs well at all-state meet

Finleigh Simonds capped an amazing freshman season with a 16th place finish at the MIAA All-State meet held at Gardner Municipal Golf Course on Saturday.

Simonds competed against the top 180 runners in Massachusetts. The week before, Simonds placed second in the field of 150 runners at the Division 1 Eastern Massachusetts Championship.

 

Football team home vs. Lowell on Thanksgiving

The football team has reeled off three straight wins.

The Hillies topped Lexington on Friday night by a score of 42-28. The team has averaged 39 points over the past three games.

The Hillies will be home on Thanksgiving to take on Lowell at 10 a.m. General admission for the game is $8.
