The Hillie track teams won four titles at the 2019 Merrimack Valley Conference Championship Meet last Saturday.
Sean Glass (200 meter dash), Hayden Makerow (400 meter dash), Keith May (800 meter run), and Jayla Kitchings (long jump) each captured individual conference titles. The girls 4x800 meter relay team won that event for the Hillies.
Softball team to host game at new field
The softball team came close to knocking off undefeated Lowell on Monday, falling by a score of 1-0.
The Hillies will look to get back in the win column when they host Lawrence on Friday afternoon at the high school's new field.
Boys volleyball team to face Chemlsford
The boys volleyball team split four matches last week, defeating Billerica and North Andover but falling to Lawrence and Central Catholic.
The Hillies will play their final home match of the year on Friday night against Chelmsford.
Tennis teams in action Thursday
The girls tennis team hosts Amesbury on Thursday afternoon at the Haverhill High School courts.
The boys team will travel to Amesbury on Thursday, and then close out the season against Amesbury on May 29 at home.
Crew teams compete in championship regatta
The crew teams will close out the 2019 season at the MPRSA Championship.
The regatta will be held Sunday at the UMass Lowell boathouse.
Hillie Classic is this weekend
The baseball team reeled off three straight wins last week. Averaging eight runs per game, the Hillies defeated Dracut, Tewksbury and Billerica.
Haverhill will host the third annual Hillie Classic baseball tournament this weekend. The schedule is as follows:
Thursday, May 23 — Karelis Division: Nashoba Regional vs. North Andover at 4 p.m., and Wachusett vs. Lawrence at 7 p.m.
Friday, May 24 — Pena Division: Methuen vs Tewksbury at 4 p.m., and Lowell Catholic vs. Haverhill at 7 p.m.
Saturday, May 25 — Karelis Division Consolation at 10 a.m., Pena Division Consolation at 12:30 p.m., Karelis Division Championship at 3 p.m., Pena Division Championship at 6 p.m.
