The Haverhill-Pentucket-North Andover girls hockey team remains unbeaten this season.
The team defeated Acton Boxboro at home on Wednesday, then skated to a 2-2 tie with defending state champions Methuen-Tewksbury on Saturday. HPNA is now 6-0-2 on the year and will travel to Andover for a game Saturday morning.
Boys basketball team defeats Lancers
The boys basketball team edged Lawrence 59-56 on Tuesday, defeating the Lancers for the first time in nine years.
The Hillies are now 5-4 on the season. They will travel to Methuen on Friday night.
Girls basketball team to host Methuen
The girls basketball team is now 3-5 on the year and will host Methuen on Friday night.
Gymnastics team wins one, loses one
The gymnastics team was narrowly defeated by Tecwskbury 133.7—133.3 and picked up a win over Lowell on the same night.
The Hillies are now 3-2 and will travel to Billerica on Wednesday night.
Wrestling team in quad meet Saturday
The wrestling team will take part in a major Merrimack Valley Conference quad meet Saturday at Billerica.
In addition to facing off against Billerica, the Hillies will also take on Central Catholic and Lawrence.
Indoor track teams perform well at regional meet
The indoor track teams participated in the MSTCA Northeast Regionals at the Reggie Lewis Center on Saturday.
The boys had a strong showing in the 600-meter run with Ben Craven (6th), Hayden Makarow (7th) and Shane McGonagle (10th) all finishing in the top 10. For the girls, Finleigh Simonds placed 9th in the mile run and Tara Thompson was 13th in the shot put.
Boys hockey team to host Tewksbury
They boys hockey team is now 3-4 on the season and will host Tewksbury on Saturday night.
The game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Boys swim team has early wins
The boys swim team has a record of 2-1 with early wins over Pinkerton and North Andover.
The Hillies will host Burlington on Tuesday at the Charles C. White Pool.
